The Policy

There’s a saying that good policy makes good politics. Whether that’s true or not, advocacy originates with policy and it’s the foundation of our work at Ridge Path Strategies. We take time to understand the policy and its implications. We can craft a message that appeals to the lawmakers, staffers, and regulators who are responsible for generating and implementing policy. We never skimp on good policy.

The Players

It’s sometimes said that Washington is a small town. While that may offend people who live in actual small towns, federal advocacy has a comparatively small audience. You have to know the people you’re talking to and what they’re about. We know the players in Washington, how they’re connected, and what motivates them.

The Strategy

“However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results,” is a quote attributed to Winston Churchill. Advocacy strategies in Washington are unique, because you have to understand every nuance and pressure point, when is the time to push and when is the time to wait, and when to pivot. At Ridge Point Strategies, we understand how things get done. It may be one of the most complex times in Washington in modern history, but with the right strategy and execution, a lot of things are possible.
